Go for Broke is Genji Nakamura's 1985 Japanese action film, a Seven Samurai-conscious story of a high school student council president who hires seven female motorcyclist bodyguards to repel a rival school's gang. Released theatrically July 13, 1985 by a coalition of Shochiku Fuji, Joy Pack Film, Canyon Records and Mifune Productions, with screenplay by Hisashi Nozawa earning the ninth Kido Award. The B2 poster centers a helmeted figure cradling a pump-action shotgun in front of a deep red wash, with the English campaign tagline GO FOR BREAK rendered in graffiti script across the lower third. A reference document for collectors of mid-1980s Japanese youth-action cinema and Genji Nakamura's commercial work.
