Solvent for gutta percha.

Indications

It is used in root canal filling techniques performed by the lateral condensation method, in the application of the master gutta percha, and in the removal of root canal treatments performed with gutta percha.

Instructions for Use

In root canal filling techniques, during the application of the master gutta percha (lateral condensation), the solvent softens the master cone, allowing it to adapt to canal irregularities and the canal anatomy.

• First, a master cone compatible with the canal width is selected.
• The tip of the gutta percha is dipped into the solvent.
• Then, the master cone is advanced with back-and-forth movements until reaching the working length.
• Subsequently, the gutta percha is removed from the canal.
• Root canal sealer is placed on the gutta percha, which is then repositioned into the canal.
• The canal is laterally condensed using a spreader coated with the solvent.

Retreatment (Endodontic Treatment Renewal)

Place 2 drops of solution into the pulp chamber and remove the softened gutta perchas with a hand file until reaching the apical foramen. Occasionally add fresh solvent and irrigate the canal with sodium hypochlorite.
