KERR DENTAL OptiBond FL
A Fourth-Generation Bonding System for Use on Dentin and Enamel
Isolation and Drying:
The area to which Kerr OptiBond FL will be applied is first isolated and dried to ensure optimal bonding.
Etching:
A 37.5% phosphoric acid gel is applied to the dentin and/or enamel for 15 seconds to condition the surface.
Rinsing:
The acid is thoroughly rinsed away with water for at least 15 seconds, ensuring all residue is removed from the surface.
Drying the Surface:
The area is then air-dried for 5 seconds. However, care must be taken to ensure the dentin remains slightly moist and not fully dried.
Applying the Primer:
Kerr OptiBond FL Primer is gently applied to the dentin/enamel surface, allowing it to remain in contact for 15 seconds to ensure optimal penetration and preparation.
Air-Drying:
The surface is air-dried for 5 seconds. The dentin/enamel should exhibit a slightly glossy appearance after the primer application.
Applying the Adhesive:
Kerr OptiBond FL Adhesive is applied to the dentin/enamel, again allowing it to contact the surface for 15 seconds.
If necessary, gentle air blowing can be used to thin or spread the adhesive evenly across the surface.
Light Curing:
The adhesive is then light-cured for 20 seconds to ensure it sets properly.
Continuation of Restoration:
The bonding procedure is followed by the placement of the composite material, completing the restoration.
This comprehensive bonding system provides reliable adhesion for various dental restorations, ensuring strong and long-lasting results. The inclusion of glass fillers and easy-to-use application tips makes it a versatile solution for dental professionals.
