The carefully judged cabinet dimensions hit an important sweet spot. The D7.2’s are large enough to deliver deep articulate bass, they can be placed quite close to walls or furniture, they work well with a wide variety of ancillary equipment, and they are not so tall that they dominate a typical home living room – for many people these are very important considerations.
