Bettyanne Antique Gold Filled Sweetheart Expansion Bracelet

Known as sweetheart bracelets, expansion bracelets originated during the Victorian era and became extra popular during the first and second world wars when departing American soldiers would give these bracelets to their sweethearts as a token of their love. This one is gold-filled and features a beautiful engraved flower and twin hearts in it's center heart-shaped face. Marked '1/20 12K ' and 'Bellavance Inc' on inside band. Often engraved with initials, there is a clear spot in the interlocking hearts where an initial(s) could have gone, but it looks hardly worn and was never engraved. The band also has a beautiful pattern on every other link.

• Material: 12K 1/20 Gold-fillled, stainless inside
• Design: Antique expansion bracelet with a heart face, and interlocking hearts + floral engraving details that has some green and pink gold plating as accents.

• Dimensions: 5.5" when not expanded, but can stretch to over 7.5"; center heart measures 3/4", band is 11 mm thick. 
  
• Craftsmanship: Marked '1/20 12K GF' and 'Bellavance Inc.' Wonderful condition given its age, all links are secure and structurally in tact.
