'DV' Locket, Antique LaMode Sweetheart Expansion Bracelet, Gold Filled

Known as sweetheart bracelets, expansion bracelets became popular during the first and second world wars when departing American soldiers would give these bracelets to their sweethearts as a token of their love. This one is entirely gold-filled and features a beautiful engraved flower and the letters D V in it's center heart that is actually a locket! The heart and flower has green gold and rose gold tones, and the band has alternating rose gold and yellow gold links around. This one is in basically perfect condition- the locket even has it's original photo protector in it - clearly never worn.

• Material: 1/20 12K gold-fill all the way through
• Design: Antique expansion bracelet with heart locket and floral engraving. Initials 'D V' are in the heart.
• Gemstones:  N/A
• Dimensions: 5" when not expanded, but can stretch to over 8"; center heart measures 3/4", band is 12 mm thick. 
  
• Craftsmanship: Marked USA and 1/20 10k gf and hallmarked on the band and inside locket 'LaMode'  - circa 1920s.
