The Godfather of home recording has self-released around 400 albums since
1968, most of them as very small run cassettes, so it seemed like a great idea
to Jason Willett (of Half Japanese) in the mid '90s to cobble together some
highlights from the albums between '68 and the early 80s for a CD. For whatever 
reason, it never got released until over 15 years later. So, now, here we have it:
an almost-hour-and-a-half set covering all manner of sounds from pop to
disco, off-the-wall experimental pieces to strange vocal theatrics, some 
country, some surf, and god knows what else. Everything thrown in a 
blender and coated with glaze of real and unique artistry.
