Our bold “Tapestry” needlepoint pillows are inspired by a surviving fragment of a bed quilt made in England about 1720. The original crewel wool needlework piece is a masterpiece of design and execution. It shows characteristic English quilting, worked in yellow back stitches, giving a subtle but energetic background to the brilliant scrolling leaves and flowers. The botanical elements twist and turn toward one another in an exuberant baroque manner. The pillow inspired by the antique will provide a handsome accent in your home.
