Organifi shilajit gummies are yet another shilajit brand pushing PrimaVie shilajit and with a something of a misunderstanding of shilajit itself. I'll say one nice thing about them before I start tearing into Organifi, and that is that the vanilla and cinnamon works really well at covering the taste of shilajit. And it is a nice change from all the tamarind or orange flavored shilajit gummies I've tried recently. So onto the review.

Let's start with the dosing issue.

Firstly, Organifi give you 250mg of PrimaVie in a serving which is not enough, meaning that you'd need to double up on the already incredibly over priced gummies that Organifi are offering. Meaning it's now at a cost of $130 a month.

For context PrimaVie is a purified shilajit extract standardized to contain a little over 50% fulvic acid and about 10% dibenzo-α-pyrones. Which is all well and good, but, for effective doses with this standardization you'd need 500mg. 

That's because most studies use shilajit doses which contain at least 300mg of fulvic acid and in fact even the one done with PrimaVie specifically used 500mg of it. (I'll link the study here). 

And things get worse

You see that was the standardization BEFORE Organifi made gummies. The process of making gummies requires heat, and heat damages dibenzo-α-pyrones, they're very sensitive to heat in fact.

So much so, that the process of making gummies is going to destroy at least half of the contents.

Meaning that you'd need a good extract, at 4 times the dose to get something functional. 

And if you notice on the Organifi label, they carefully don't mention their fulvic acid content, or their dibenzo-α-pyrones content, just that they were made with Prima Vie. Yet, almost all capsule supplements using PrimaVie mention the standardization... 

So, you see the issue with Organifi Shilajit Gummies here? 

The problem with Organifi, is they chose a pricey branded extract to trade on it's name to sell the idea that you can trust their purity. But, the thing is, a decent third party testing certificate will achieve the same thing and you'll know you're getting the fulvic acid content and other good stuff you're actually looking for. 

What we have here is a marketing trick. And Organifi are trying to capitalize on the fact that there's a lot of low quality fake shilajit floating round, whilst at the same time providing something that won't work because the dose is too low, at an insanely high price point. 

Organifi Shilajit Gummies Review Conclusion

They're underdosed, the way they use the PrimaVie dosage, but fail to mention the standardization will be damaged in the process of making gummies is unreasonable for a product at this price range. Avoid, generally I recommend people get a resin, but if you really want a gummy, get Nootrum, it's less money with a higher shilajit content, they're honest about the fact you get less extract than from a dose of resin, and even still have far more fulvic acid and dibenzo-α-pyrones per dose. They just clearly don't have as big a marketing budget. Or something else from our best shilajit brands breakdown.
