UltraSeal XT hydro hydrophilic pit and fissure sealant is a light-cured, radiopaque, fluoride-releasing composite sealant. Because it is 53% resin filled and has less polymerization shrinkage than competing products, it is a stronger and more wear-resistant material. The spiral brush action of the tip causes shear thinning in the thixotropic UltraSeal XT hydro sealant. When shear thinning ceases and placement is complete, resin flow stops, preventing leakage before light-curing. Its enhanced hydrophilic chemistry works when all visible moisture is removed, UltraSeal XT hydro sealant is more tolerant of moisture deep in pits and fissures.
