The perfect antique gold-filled, story-telling layer... we love Victorian pocket watch chains and love making them into necklaces- especially when they are as elaborate and ornate as this one - which includes a stunning opal locket!
Often called ' Albert chains,' named after a style of pocket watch chain Prince Albert wore and popularized in the Victorian Era (19th century). Traditionally this style of watch chain has a two clasps (dog clip and spring ring) on either end, and a T-bar - to loop through a men's vest button hole. This one measures 15.5" around, with a 1" drop to the Albert T-Bar, and 1/2" drop to the locket - which hang on a sliding bail. Original dog clip clasp, twisted T-bar and fabulous etched original locket fob creates a perfectly asymmetrical, charmed look, - most likely from the 1800s.
