This is a real Ancient Egyptian cylinder seal! Dating back to ~600BCE, cylinder seals were classically used as administrative tools, jewelry, magical amulets and signatures. 

Seals would typically be used to mark doors, envelopes, storage jars, clay tablets, bricks, amulets and a variety of other surfaces.

This ~1" tall seal has been rolled on a piece of clay to allow the purchaser to see the image hidden on its surface. It depicts two people, one seated, surrounded by animals and other objects.
