Works with Ford Modular Dual coil ignition systems and Late model Jeep with distributorless ignition systems, 1999 and later.
Part Number: 8922
The Distributorless Coil Simulator simulates the original coil trigger signal thus allowing the ECU to properly trigger both the tach and fuel injection with the MSD DIS Ignition installed. In most cases, the Simulator plugs directly into the MSD's Harness.
In some instances when you install a DIS-4 Plus Ignition, the factory ECU may not be able to distinguish when the coil fires. This is the signal that is also responsible for firing the injectors (or the tachometer), which may cause a no-run situation.
Features and Benefits
• Epoxy filled for protection against heat and vibration • Bullet style connectors for easy plug-in to MSD DIS-4 Plus harness • Compact housing is easy to mount • Simulates factory ECU kick-back signal for factory fuel injection and tach signal
Used on DIS-4 Plus Ignition and plugs into harness using the bullet connectors._x000D_
**Will not work on Coil-on-Plug Ford applications**
