Sarah Antique Gold Filled Sweetheart Expansion Bracelet

Known as sweetheart bracelets, expansion bracelets originated during the Victorian era and became extra popular during the first and second world wars when departing American soldiers would give these bracelets to their sweethearts as a token of their love. This one is gold-filled and features a beautiful engraved flower scene in it's center heart - with the letter 'S' Engraved. The backside of the heart is engraved with H.H- S.G. (most likely the names of the original 'sweethearts')

• Design: Antique expansion bracelet with a heart face center and floral engraving with an S, original sweetheart initials HH + SG engraved on inside.

• Dimensions: 6" when not expanded, but can stretch to over 9"; center heart measures 2 cm from top to bottom and 2cm across, band is 12 mm thick. 
  
• Craftsmanship: Wonderful condition given its age, all links are secure and structurally in tact.
